Profile: Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Raven Marlow. I'm a mother, a grandmother, a student and a computer geek. I'm also the crazy cat lady down the street. This past year has been rather harrowing for me, and has caused me to re-evaluate my life and take it in a different direction. I've clawed, scratched and chewed my way into corporate America, trying to make enough money to live the American Dream: family, car, house, etc. What I mainly got was debt and a loveless marriage. The marriage has ended, my house and car have gone back to the bank and the debt ... well anyway you get the idea. You know the old saying, "If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always gotten." Well, I'm ready for something different. I found myself being pushed in a direction (call it karma, call it fate, call it a calling from the gods) and discovered that I'm a fairly decent writer. I've discovered this path rather late in life and one day I'll share the story of how I found it, or rather how it found me. As each week passes, I will share with you what I have learned and/or accomplished in my attempt at a writing career. I'll share about marketing and social media, publishing and epublishing, and I'll share some of what I'm writing. Please join me on my journey as I join the masses trying to find a niche in the writing world. Blessings, Raven PS I will shamelessly plug www.writingexcuses.com simply because they were the first source of information I found and I really like not only the podcast, but the people in it. I feel like they have become my friends and partners in this journey since I spent my first few months listening to most of their first 5 seasons and catching up on Season 6. I will always listen to each podcast as they come out, so that will definitely be shared.
